Maya Swaggerty is a senior at Rose and has been in journalism since her freshman year. This is her second year as one of the three Editor-in-Chiefs for Rampant Lines. Maya has written for news and features in the past, but this year she plans to write for sports. She enjoys interviewing unique students from all across Rose and sharing their stories. Maya loves the types of stories in news, enjoys interviewing interesting people in features, and is looking forward to the fun of sports. Outside of journalism, Maya plays volleyball, participates in Boneyard Robotics, and interns at Legal Aid of NC. She plans to attend a four-year university to major in political science and minor in journalism. Maya hopes to improve her leadership style and learn to balance a fun, welcoming classroom environment with producing a clean and professional paper.
