Eleanor Blount is a senior at Rose and a News Co-Editor for the 2021 fall semester. Eleanor has been very involved in the JH Rose community since her freshman year through the Student Government Organization. She served as her class’s Vice President her freshman, sophomore and junior year, and currently serves as the Student Body President. Aside from her leadership roles in SGA, Eleanor is involved in other service organizations and Honor’s Societies that propel her involvement in the community outside of Rose. Eleanor has also been a member of the Rose swim team and lacrosse team for the past 3 years, and was recently chosen to be a lacrosse captain for the 2022 spring season. Outside of school, Eleanor enjoys running, relaxing at the beach, and traveling around the world with her family. In regards to writing, Eleanor began to enjoy free writing at a very young age, and discovered a newfound interest in research-based writing through AP Seminar during her junior year. This is Eleanor’s first year in journalism, and she hopes to grow in her journalistic writing and leadership skills in the News section of Rampant Lines.
