McGillicuddy's Story

Lorian McGillicuddy is a senior at J.H. Rose High School, and a unique fact about her is that she is also a twin. This is her fourth semester taking journalism, and she is looking forward to many opportunities to come. In her previous experience in Journalism, she was in the features section, but has switched to the Opinion and Entertainment section. One of her favorite stories she wrote is the article on Hurricane Floyd, interviewing CTE teacher, Mrs. Taft. She decided to take up journalism because of her love for writing and dedication to her work. When Lorian is not behind a computer, she works with her school’s mock trial team. This has taught her to work together as a team and to practice her leadership. With this, she is very excited to work together with other individuals for the Rampant Lines. After high school, she plans to go to a 4-year university and get a degree in communications. She hopes she learns how to write efficiently going into her college experience from her time in this class.
