Matthew Rushing is a senior and has been writing for Rampant Lines for six semesters. While he has been both a sports staff writer and sports editor in the past, he also has experience writing entertainment articles, typically about music. Rushing has played baseball for all four years of high school and has been involved in FBLA as well. When not in school, Rushing can be seen singing and playing all around Eastern North Carolina. He hopes to make his last year of Journalism the best one yet. If he manages to graduate this year, Rushing hopes to go to Berklee College of Music and major in Professional Music or Music Business next fall.
