Lorian McGillicuddy, Staff Writer

Lorian McGillicuddy is a senior at J.H. Rose High School, and a unique fact about her is that she is also a twin. This is her third semester taking journalism and is looking forward to many opportunities to come. In her previous experience in Journalism, she has been in the features section, but has currently switched to the Opinion and Entertainment section. One of her favorite stories she wrote is the article on Hurricane Floyd, interviewing CTE teacher, Mrs. Taft. She decided to take up journalism because of her love for writing and dedication to her work. When Lorian is not behind a computer, she plays for the JH Rose beach volleyball team during the spring and summer. Volleyball has taught her to work hard as a team. Outside of her sport, she participates in the JH Rose Mock Trial team to practice her public speaking abilities as well as her writing. With this, she is very excited to work together with other individuals for the Rampant Lines. After high school she plans to go to a 4-year university and get a degree in communications. She hopes she learns how to efficiently write going into her college experience from her time in this class.
