Lauren Brockway is a sophomore at J.H. Rose Highschool, and this is her second semester in Journalism. She is currently a writer for the news section of the paper, and also wrote for the news her freshman year. Her favorite thing to write about is the new teachers and new clubs. Outside of school, Lauren enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She has been on the Rose girls’ golf team for the past two years. She chose to take journalism because of her love for writing and she had so much fun the first year she took it, so she decided to come back. Her mom, who was a news anchor and has a degree in journalism, inspired her to take the class. After graduating from high school, Lauren plans to go to college, and hopes to go to UGA or UofSC, and doesn't yet know what she wants to do, but would like to get a degree in business or communications. She hopes to learn more about writing and journalism has already helped her in so many ways, and she can't wait to continue to grow in the class.
