Riley Brown is a senior and is taking journalism for the first time this semester. She is currently working as a staff writer. Throughout high school, she always wanted to take journalism, but never had room in her schedule to. This year, she finally got the chance and loves it already. She enjoys developing her writing skills and the collaborative environment that journalism offers. Riley is an active member of many clubs and organizations within and outside of Rose, serving as the president of National Honors Society, the Blood Drive Coordinator for HOSA, and as a Teen Ambassador for the Ronald McDonald House. Riley is also co-captain of the Rose swim team and swims year-round with East Carolina Aquatics. In her free time, Riley enjoys spending time with friends and family, surfing, shopping, baking, and being outdoors. Next year, Riley will be attending North Carolina State University and majoring in Psychology, with the goal of eventually becoming a Physician’s Assistant or a Psychiatrist.
