My name is Aireana, and I'm a junior. My role in journalism is being the comic artist in the graphics team and being a staff writer; I also take pictures sometimes. Last year, I was in the features section, and I wrote about Sydney Collins, who was a dancer. A surprising thing about me is that I won an international artist award in 8th grade, which was a poster competition for the Carolina East Medical Center. My current hobbies are baking and crocheting, and I'm interested in music. I'm in journalism cause I like the atmosphere and freedom in the class, also cause I would like to go to college for a journalism degree. I plan to go to ECU for a marketing degree and a journalism degree. And I'm hoping this year to work in opinion and entertainment. I hope I can learn how to get better at writing.
